Venice Artist Jeremy Kidd started here in the 90’s and has a double header of Art Exhibits in Palm Desert & Lancaster showcasing imagery of the urban landscape with a unique photographic expression and sculptural flavor.
Think of how Picasso presented multiple views of a person in a painting – Jeremy Kidd does this with his visually stunning photographs of the environment in his current art shows. He’s also a sculptor who creates pieces inspired by imagery from his photos. Jeremy Kidd’s art is on display at the Imago Galleries in Palm Desert and MOAH (Museum of Art & History) in Lancaster, a nice day trip or weekend jaunt from the bustle of Los Angeles.
Jeremy Kidd’s art exhibit, “Desert Seam” is located in the El Paseo area of Palm Desert, where art galleries, restaurants and shopping are part of the landscape in this happening area. The show is at Imago Galleries, known for it’s Venice Artist focus. Jeremy Kidd’s focus is on the desert landscape in this show with large scale photos in an upfront and personal way. He takes numerous photos and blends them all together in one fantastic view.
Imago Galleries 45-450 CA-74, Palm Desert, CA 92260 Tues – Sat 11am – 5pm
Jeremy’s art is also on display in Lancaster at MOAH through April 17, titled, “Green Revolution”, his take on how the wind farm turbines, aka windmills interrupt the landscape. You will see wall size photos of the desert sprinkled with the windmills, in addition to his windmill inspired sculptures.
His work invites the viewer to explore art and alternative energy plus our relationship to the new “interrupted” landscape.
