Venice Art Crawl – Thursday, April 21, 6-10pm
This is another great opportunity to see local artists at a variety of cool venues in Venice tonight- and for FREE! Along the Boardwalk from Venice Blvd. to Rose are where most of the action happens, however, there are other spaces too, for example, Whole Foods Market at Lincoln and Rose has music, art and more from 5:30 – 8:30pm.

If you go to the block of venice Blvd. right by the beach you gt 3 great art experiences there, starting with Alkaline Water Gallery (formerly Studio 18) owned by artist/art teacher, Leila Levi at 18 North Venice Blvd. The “Celebration of the Work of Our Youth” is by students from Westchester High School, where Leila has taught for the past 10 years. She is also a talented artist and jewelry designer. a few doors down is James beach, check out the back room for inspiring art, then head across the street to Canal Club, the back room too for art and music.
there are so many places, you’re sure to bump into some great art! Remember to continue up toward Rose and before you hit it, see Figtrees for their art show along with music, complimentary Wine, Hummus, Pita Bread, Chips and Salsa, Mini sandwiches and other tasty bites. Art Opening, Gebert Gallery – Friday, April 22, 7-9pm
Group art show with over 20 artists at this contemporary gallery on 1345 Abbot Kinney Boulevard. the gallery usually serves wine or champagne at their events. Next to Hal’s Bar and Grill.
Live Music with Miss Jessica – Saturday, April 23, 9:30-1:30
This is very close to Venice and not to be missed. This free show is at the cool live music spot, The Cinema Bar. The Sugar Shack Attack will be teaming up with the Edgy John Abella Band (Honey Pie Jones) for a set of his BadAss Swingin’ Blues with sultry singer Amy Cottone, 9:00-10:00 Followed by Miss Jessica, featuring bassist Greg Spann and Matt Herman on conga’s!
