Did you know that Primitivo Wine Bistro is serving lunch? I recently found that  out and was impressed with the superb food and service when I was there a week ago. My friend and I were seated on the patio in back, which is a great place for a meal in a casual environment.   Starting out with the Mixed Spanish Olive appetizer featuring a generous selection of black and green olives in olive oil was a delight to this olive lover.
For the main course I ordered the Moroccan Spiced Lamb Burger which was just  divine. The lamb was  great quality and  spiced in a true Mediterranean style and was topped with pine nuts, feta cheese,  arugula and a garlic aioli sauce. It came with a fresh tasting mixed green salad with ingredients from a local farmers market. There is a choice of truffle parmesan fries instead of salad.
My friend ordered the Spanish Paella a dish that could be split between two people or for a really hungry person. It was a flavorful rice with plentiful shrimp and organic chicken with mussels, chorizo and peas.   We  had the bread pudding for dessert- when I saw it, I asked if it was a double order and was told that it was a single order; it was monster size and so good that we ate it all! All the food was simply delicious!

You can also get a taste of the menu during happy hour  like we did when we went to Primitivo during First Friday which is late from 10-11pm, Thursday thru Saturday. We had the Moroccan Lamb Sliders because we knew they were too good to pass up and the Bacon Wrapped Medjool Dates- these were awesome and there was a packed crowd at the restaurant and bar area. Check out Primitivo at 1025 Abbot Kinney Blvd. – the AKFF Blog recommends it! See their website.
