Parking Tips:
If you can get to Abbot Kinney early, you’ve got a leg up on the parking so hippity hop on over here – avoid driving on Abbot Kinney, it will be insane! Head towards side streets off of Venice Bl, California access from Lincoln) and Electric Av. There is also a valet parking lot on Electric Av at Milwood at Electric Lodge, which also happens to be hosting a special FREE performance, just for 1st Fridays! (It’s 30 seconds behind Abbot Kinney – just do a Google map – it’s easy!
Food Trucks:
So you’re hungry, right? There are 17 food trucks to peruse all kinds of food from, whether it’s chili, burgers, ice cream and a lot more. The best way to find out which trucks are there is to check out the AKFF Twitter Feed, as most trucks post there between Thursday and Friday. Many will also post their exact location. Hint: great for photo opps so you can post on our Facebook page and win some cool prizes.
Shopping:

Of course many of us like to indulge a bit on First Fridays, I mean what, with all the selection of food, from food trucks to local haunts! Then, the realization that we need to workout – and on a regular basis! It helps to have a local go to spot, where you can be guided by an experienced instructor, like Robin Solo, from Turning Point Pilates. She takes great care with each client and treats them as an individual, customizing the workout toward your abilities and taking in to consideration if you have any injuries. This Editor knows from personal experience from a private lesson with Robin. Turning Point Pilates is on Venice Boulevard, just east of Abbot Kinney in the creative bungalows next to Zinque Cafe.
