Santa Monica Summer Soulstice
Main Street between Pico and Kinney St
Sunday, June 24 12pm-7pm
This is an annual event that’s always alot of fun! There are stages up and down Main street with a slew of local bands playing. MOst are cover bands with a few originals, like Tony Alva’s band, His Eyes Have fangs, playing on the Dogtown stage (of course), scheduled for 5pm at Man and Bay streets. Get some freebies at various booths or preuse goodies for sale and do check out the sidewalk sales at various shops on Main street in Sanat Monica.
TIP#1 Check out the Summer BBQ at Maser Condo Sales – tell Brian Maser that Abbot Kinney First Fridays told ya to check it out. Get some burgers and dogs or whatever they have grillin’! Plus music , food demos and more Ocean Park and Main Street 12-5pm.
Tip #2 There’s an info booth typically near the Ocean Park stage with a map
Santa Monica Pier Concerts (aka Twilight Concerts)
This free concert series is moved to the fall. Boo Hiss!
Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series
Burton Chace Park, Marina del Rey
Thursdays and Alternating Saturdays 7pm
There will be a mix of pop music groups, including alt-rock, indie, and folk at this small park surrounded by water – ger there ealy to grab a place to hang out. Food trucks will be there or bring your own picnic. No alcohol, smoking or high back chairs.
SYMPHONIC THURSDAYS – 7pm
Maestro Frank Fetta conducts the Marina del Rey Symphony:
July 12: Opera by the Shore. Emerging opera stars from the Loren L. Zachary National Vocal Competition will perform.
