2 Mainstays of First Fridays:

Have you been to Robin’s Sculpture Garden? Venice Local, Robin Murez hosts a wonderful night on First Fridays in her outdoor sculpture garden with her art.  In addition she started the Glass House, in front of the garden where local artists and artisans  sell their works of art. The space is located on the West side of the street, closest to Venice Blvd.- just look for an ourtdoor sculpture garden with friendly people.

How about Zingara?
From the welcoming front porch with awning to clothing and jewelry at fair market trade prices to the back patio, Zingara provides a great atmosphere for those coming to 1st Friday on Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice. This month they will have complimentary henna tattos from 7-10- it will either be on the front porch or back patio; walk thru the store to  reach the back patio. Help yourself on the patio to make some yummy s’mores over the firepit. I like the choclate part of the s’mores!

There is a new popup jewelry shop next to the Stronghold, called Shoplift (?) I’m not sure if they’re trying to get Lindsay Lohan to come into the store with that name… it’s very nice jewelry, check it out.

By the way, it’s appreciated when you tell store owners that you saw it on Abbot Kinney First Fridays.com Page 1 Google blog that lists Venice Events for FREE!

PS: We are not listing most music events anymore, as the LAPD has been using this blog to shut down any music event before it happens. Shame on the LAPD for being a bunch of killjoys that should be hunting down real crime and not WASTING OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS! Please call Mark Antonio Grant at 310-568-8772 to discuss this matter and voice your opinion. He is the police liason for the Venice district, in Councilman Bill Rosendahl’s office.

Just send an email here asap with your event description, address and photo.
