David Carter, Kevin Goslar, Adam Chapnick & Shahin Farschi

Monday night was hopping at the 31Ten Lounge (formerly Schatzi’s) and Satellite in Santa Monica with a spectacular panel of leaders from Silicon Beach and Silicon Valley venture capital and crowd funding firms, including: Adam Chapnick from Indiegogo, David Carter from Amplify, Shahin Farschi from Lux Capital, Kevin Goslar from Originate and Richard Koffler from Tech Coast Angels.  Victoria Silchenko from Metropole Capital Group was the panel moderator. What was it all about? Money,  of course! More specifically, how to get your startup funded.

Adam Chapnick from Indiegogo

It was a lively panel indeed that kept the crowd interested, in spite of the noise factor from the huge crowd in attendance that night. Adam Chapnick from Indiegogo in Los Angeles and San Francisco held the attention of the crowd with his genuine enthusiasm and passion for crowd funding and how it’s helped  so many entrepreneurs. After all, it is the first crowd funding platform and has by far has been the most successful one for raising capital.

David Carter from Amplify

David Carter from Amplify in Venice, also shared his passion and knowledge as a serial entrepreneur to the many startups in the audience, hungry for learning how to get their businesses funded.

Brian Mac Mahon from Your Office Agent & panelists

Hundreds attended the Pay it Forward mixer, hosted by Brian Mac Mahon, from Your Office Agent, who organized these events  for over three years. The Pay it Forward theme is a way for those in attendance to give back to other businesses.  At the last quarterly event, the Abbot Kinney First Fridays Blog decided to Pay it Forward by  donating ad space for one month to ten companies.
