Trim Salon Party with VSO at 1st Fridays

The AKFF Blog Team checked out the September 1st Fridays (of course!) went to a great party at Trim Salon with the debut of the VSO (Venice Symphony Orchestra) and sampled some great eats from the brand shiny, new Street Kings food truck! Can you believe it, a doughnut with bacon and cheese in it – tastes really good; what a surprise! Thanks again to Trim Salon, Virtual Venice Reel to Reel Tours – the best tours in LA according to Los Angeles mag and Liquid IV for donating prizes to our First Fridays monthly contest!

Good eats with Street Kings

You may have heard about the skyrocketing price of real estate in Venice, especially on Abbot Kinney Bl. The AKFF has heard from reliable sources about a recent  commercial property purchase on Abbot Kinney Bl for 20 million! This likely means more businesses may relocate away from “the most happening shopping destination in America” (according to GQ mag, 2012).

Check out these local businesses – while it’s easy to find the brick n’ mortar places to shop, eat and play there are many local service oriented businesses that are worthwhile to check out! Some of them are also found online, such as the jewelry collection from Green Swallow Designs in Venice available on Etsy.

Breathtaking Photography from Kramer Productions

When it comes to photographic needs, including amazing aerial photography, crowd funding videos and more, be sure to check out Kramer Productions.

Switching gears to local happenings, the AKFF participated in the “Hike with Mike Bonin” in the Pacific Palisades two weekends ago with a large group of about 60 people from Venice, Mar Vista, the Palisades and Brentwood.
