Resizing & Renaming Photos Using Mac Preview App:
(if you use a PC/Chrome, use Canva Free App)
Using Preview App- free on the Mac can do some awesome things with photos!
Photo resizing:
1- Set it up by Making a copy & Renaming File
Name Your Photo Something Pertinent: ex: fries galore-redlands-market-night
First Duplicate your original so you have the high resolution (aka hi-rez).
Click on thumbnail or in list view. Command -D
Rename duplicate photo ex: fries galore-redlands-market-night-640×480 (that’s the size in pixels)
(rename a file by click n hold on name, see menu and select rename)
2- Resize See 2 screens
Open Preview app on Mac (free).
Open photo
Tools Menu- Adjust Size
Then in Width field type 640 (pixels) it will automatically adjust to 480px (unless photos are a different proportion)Note resolution should be 72 pixels/inch – if it’s a larger number, type 72 and it will automatically adjust size, however you will still need to resize.
See 2nd screen and click ok.
These photos are clickable for larger size.

3- Add AKFF Logo
Open Logo files
(download from this page or media library 150px or 100px size)
Click in photo then click Command A or File Select All then Command C or Copy
Click photo you want to paste it into, then Command V or Paste.it is clickable so you can move it around.
Do NOT resize logo.
Save file
4- Upload to Media Library in WordPress
Either Drag n Drop or browse to your file- 1-2 at a time is best.
Download file in Media Library- open library, click on photo, click view attachment page – this is a text link
