Wed. January 23 Art & Politics Santa Monica Museum of Art: Pattern and Perception
A conversation with the artists in the current show: Peter Shire, Samira Yamin, Miriam Wosk. The AKFF attended the opening last week and this is by far the best exhibit seen at SMMOA in the past 5 years! Starts at 7pm, free and open to the public. Museum members are invited to a special reception and tour at 6pm. Bergamot Station, G1, Santa Monica.

Occupy Venice: A Town Hall Q & A
A variety of social and political issues will be discussed, such as: the City Council Race, Boardwalk Restrictions, New Homeless Relief Projects and Homeowner Foreclosure Resistance. Speakers will include: Mike Bonin, running for City Council District 11 and the Reverend RonWeekley, Sr., The Venice Community Housing Project and Occupy Venice. The AKFF encourages you to bring up renters rights, as the majority of Angelenos are renters. From 7-10pm, free event. Canal Club, 2025 Pacific Av., Venice
