Electric Lodge in Venice, located just behind and east of Abbot Kinney, is the premiere performance space that’s also run on solar power! Every First Fridays, the Lodge provides a complimentary avant garde mixed media performance. Easy parking in their valet lot, enjoy drinks while you’re hanging out (21+ bring id) and enjoying the show! This month brings Cheryl Rae, a spoken word artist. Starts at 9pm.

Parking Tips:
If you can get to Abbot Kinney early, you’ve got a leg up on the parking so hippity hop on over here – avoid driving on Abbot Kinney, it will be insane! Head towards side streets off of Venice Bl, California access from Lincoln) and Electric Av. There is also a valet parking lot on Electric Av at Milwood at Electric Lodge, which also happens to be hosting a special FREE performance, just for 1st Fridays! (It’s 30 seconds behind Abbot Kinney – just do a Google map – it’s easy!
Food Trucks:
So you’re hungry, right? There are 17 food trucks to peruse all kinds of food from, whether it’s chili, burgers, ice cream and a lot more. The best way to find out which trucks are there is to check out the AKFF Twitter Feed, as most trucks post there between Thursday and Friday. Many will also post their exact location. Hint: great for photo opps so you can post on our Facebook page and win some cool prizes.
Shopping:
Shops are open late, some with specials just for First Fridays. Shops are on Abbot Kinney and Santa Clara (cross street). Check out the latest trends on this fashion forward boulevard!
