Venice Sign Holiday Lighting & Windward Holiday Crawl Friday, November 30
JUST ANNOUNCED: THE BAND VENICE featuring Mark Lennon will headline the musical entertainment at 7pm! Plus Suzy Williams & Brad Kay, Rachel Tozeko & Jeremy Parker, and the Jingle Bell Rockers!
The Venice sign that hangs above Windward Ave at Pacific will be lit with red and green holiday lighting along with festive activities on Friday, November 30 at 6pm with the sign lighting at 7:45pm. Photos with Santa, parties, drinks and food specials, shopping, art, music along with hot cocoa, and eggnog at participating businesses on Windward. Plus there is the Muscle Beach Toy Drive that benefits needy kids – all you need to do is bring an unwrapped gift and receive a wrist band that is good for discounts that night! Main Street Holiday Tree Lighting in Santa Monica, Saturday, December 1
Starting with a Christmas tree lighting, serenaded with music by the Samohi Choir and Green Brooms Music Academy, 6pm at the California Heritage Museum lawn, 2612 Main Street (just south of Ocean Park Blvd.) followed by the shopping cart tree lighting at 6:30pm sharp at Edgemar Center Courtyard with lively music from the Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers will get you in the holiday spirit! Shop at the stores open late with sidewalk sales on both Saturday and Sunday, December 1 and 2. PS – there are 2 separate tree lightings within a few blocks of each other.
Montana Avenue Holiday Walk in Santa Monica Friday, December 7
Enjoy live music while you stroll down Montana Avenue from 5-9pm and do some holiday shopping at the stores some of which will serve refreshments and snacks. Santa will make an appearance too!
Abbot Kinney Boulevard Holiday Stroll in Venice, Saturday, December 8
Stroll down the famous boulevard while you enjoy the sounds of a steel drum band from 7-10pm with the shops open late. A vintage tram provided courtesy of the Venice Historical Society will shuttle holiday revelers up and down the street. On Sunday, December 9 from 11am-5pm there will be a fun filled, family day on Abbot Kinney at the corner of Palms. Blvd with real snow, sledding and Santa to delight the whole family! Plus, there will be face painting and holiday crafts with music by the Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers, the vintage tram will shuttle people around to the shops which will serve refreshments.
