Santa Monica Pier Concert: The summer pier concert is in its second week already! Every Thursday, starting at 7 until around 9/10pm thru September 6 is a fabulous and free live concert. This week features reggae bands, so get ready to start jammin at the beach! 

Venice Beach Biennial: This is the AK Blog pick of the week hands down! The Hammer Museum has branched out to the beach and this is a part of the Made in L.A. 2012 show! This outdoor art exhibit features local Los Angeles artists from Friday  to Sunday, starting at 11am to sunset each day, filled with temporary sculptures, installations, and performances plus vendor booths. This will be on the boardwalk aka Ocean Front Walk adjacent to the Windward Circle area.


Festival in Venice: Believe it or not the LAPD is hosting a festival in the Windward Circle area, Friday to Sunday from 12 noon-11pm. Make sure to have fun and be on your best behavior!  Family oriented and lotsa rides for the kiddies! Note that the Circle is cutoff to traffic and parking on the streets directly off the circle is not allowed in the block closest to it.
