Checkout this Art Exhibit & Silent Auction with Local Venice Artists at the Premiere Coworking Space in Silicon Beach, NextSpace Venice Beach on Thursday, December 10, 8-10 pm.
There are a multitude of talented artists in Venice and this is your chance to see the current exhibit featuring 15 Local Venice Artists in an exhibit and Silent Auction! The show, “Venice: Here & Now” is curated and organized by local art group, ViCA (Venice Institute of Contemporary Art), founded by Juri Koll, also a Venice Artist and Curator of the show.
This unique experience allows you to see art on both floors inside the coworking space on Windward Circle, with a geometric mural on its exterior. This is the first art exhibit at NextSpace Venice Beach, according to Emmarie Dempsey, Community Builder at the location.
Artists: Javier De Aubeyzon, Sandy Bleifer, MB Boissonnault, Fatemeh Burnes, Dani Dodge, Janet Gervers, Gloriane Harris, Amy Kaps, KuBO, Mei Xian Qiu, Sonja Schenk, Lisa Rosel, May Sun, Edmund Teske, Jennifer Verge
Are you wondering what the Silent Auction is all about? ViCA, a non profit, is starting a movement for a Venice Arts Complex that includes affordable housing for Venice artists in addition to a museum. While it may sound like a pie in the sky dream to some, in reality this has already happened throughout the country, and as close as Ventura. What that means is that there is a blueprint for developing this type of project.
The Silent Auction kicks off the seed money fund (ViCA is the recipient organization), needed to get the project off the ground. Both Juri Koll from ViCA and Artist Sandy Bleifer (an artist in the exhibit) have done much of the research to find out how to get it started, including identifying possible locations, discussing the project with local developers and locating the developer, PLACE that has built these projects.
Please join in, view and bid on art and other items at the Silent Auction, such as day passes to NextSpace Venice Beach and an acupuncture session at Acutonix on Abbot Kinney, dinner at TacoTeca in Santa Monica!
