Tech Studio announces the first free charging station in Los Angeles.
Inspired by the events surrounding Hurricane Sandy, Tech Studio installed LA’s first public charging station to provide the Venice community and its endless supply of visitors with free smart phone and tablet charging. When hurricane Sandy struck, it left wide swaths of New York and New Jersey without power and although cell phone service was functional, many people did not have a way to charge their cell phones because power was out for months in some areas. AT&T responded by installing nearly 50 solar-powered charging stations around greater New York and New Jersey allowing people to charge their phones for free.
Tech Studio’s state-of-the-art charging station features high-powered batteries that will charge a phone or tablet at maximum speeds and a unique design by Cal Kelly from Think Inside. Since its installation, Tech Studio Mac and PC Repair receives daily visitors who relax on our front bench and grab some juice for their devices while they wait. If you want to shop while your devices charges, Tech Studio will take your device behind the counter for safe keeping while you go eat and shop on world-famous Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
